Whether you are looking for a challenging mountain hike or a quiet adventure along the river, from Chalet Yap you can step straight into nature. Did you know that the famous GR5 walking route that starts in the Netherlands crosses through our beautiful village? Want to start your hike up high? ADRENALINE & ADVENTURE
Whitewater rafting, paragliding, downhill mountain biking, via ferrata… What would you dare to try? You might want to experience the adrenaline-filling zipline "Le Fantasticable" on which you fly between mountains at almost 100km/h and at an altitude of 240m. In the Portes du Soleil there are plenty of opportunities to get the adrenaline flowing!
LAKE GENEVA
Discover the largest inland lake in Central Europe with one of the many tour boats the lakeside towns have to offer. Visit beautiful towns like Thonon and Evian, without missing the incredible medieval village of Yvoire. You might also fancy trying out some of the water sport activities on the lake like waterskiing, stand-up paddle boarding and more. Lake Geneva: grand, beautiful and fun for everyone to experience!
SPECIAL TRIPS
Head up to the impressive Gorges du Pont du Diable, where footbridges take you across 60m-deep canyons, or make your way to Chamonix for a scenic day trip to visit the highest mountain in Europe – The Mont Blanc. Take the funicular up to the Aiguille du Midi and observe the incredible glacier from the top of a 3842m mountain.
ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS
There is plenty of entertainment for small children in the area. Go on an adventure in one of the many tree climbing parks, go swimming in the local pool, cycling through the trees, horseback riding in the forests, have a game of mini golf surrounded by mountains or spend the afternoon visiting the goat village in Les Lindarets. But maybe what your children will love the most is building dams in the Dranse river behind our chalet!
